Defying the Gestapo

Finally out for a nice long ride in the Spring!

The Emperor/Governor says “Stay Home”, so naturally I said….well never mind what said…

Riding north to the Winona, MN area.

Also, I went crazy last month and sold all my cameras, bought all new. Now using a Nikon Z 6 and Z 50.

My son and another friend Andy. Son is riding a Kawasaki Concours 14 and Andy is on his Kawasaki Versys 300. I’m in my Suzuki Burgman 400.

First Sunday of Lent – 2020

55° so just had to fire up the Burgman. Felt so good to be out on the bike again after a long cold winter in Minnesota.

My son is on his way home too, with his new acquisition, Kawasaki Concour 14!

Burgman 400

Out for a long ride today on the new scoot. Had a problem with the clutch but the dealer fixed it for free. The previous owner put an after market clutch on and it failed. Luckily I still had the original Suzuki clutch and that works perfectly.

It’s not the little thing that we usually think of when we say scooter. It’s a full sized motorcycle!

War

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

  • Ephesians 4:31

Out for a ride on my “new” scooter. Well, my other new scooter. I liked the Honda scooter so much that I traded it in for a newer, bigger, one. This is a 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400. I love this thing!

Went to Blackhawk Park, just south of LaCrosse, WI, and site of a battle between the settlers and Indians. A bad decision led to many deaths.

Sunday Morning Scoot

Out scooting and shooting on a beautiful Sunday!

The more I ride this scooter, the more I like it! I may seriously look at a Maxi-scooter next Spring, like the Suzuki Burgman 650.

New horse!

Well, after a couple of months with no bike, I brought this beast home today! 2006 Honda Reflex!

All is right with the world again.

It’s quite a different creature than I’ve had before, but I like it! Lots of storage space, light weight handling, great gas mileage.

Ural !!!

Went over to a friends house, Tom, to see and play with his Ural “Gear Up”! Took a test drive to see how it is. As many have said, it is very different to ride! But after a few minutes I began to get the feel for it. I may seriously consider this for a future bike!

It has lots of interesting quirks. It pulls to the right or left depending on if you’re accelerating or braking, it has a separate choke for each cylinder. This is the last carbureted version and they now have gone to fuel injection.
